The University of Winnipeg Library invites applications for the position of Reference Assistant from January 5 to March 31, 2004. The person will work together with other librarians at the Library's Reference Desk from 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Preference will be given to applicants who are familiar with a wide variety of academic online databases and indexes, Statistics Canada material (print and online), Internet searching, and the print resources that are used in undergraduate academic libraries. An undergraduate degree and library science training (library school or community college) are preferred. Hourly wages for a Library Assistant IV are $15.18 - $16.47.
