The Selkirk & St. Andrews Regional Library Board invites applications for the position of Chief
Librarian. The Library Board seeks a dynamic individual who can make a significant contribution
to a future library expansion project. The library serves a population of approximately 25,000. The library is located in the City of Selkirk, which is approximately 20 kms. north of Winnipeg. Qualified candidates should have a Library Technician Diploma/Certificate from an accredited institution plus three years of administrative experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A Bachelor's Degree in library/information sciences would be an asset.
Other qualifications are: There is a one-year probationary period. Date of commencement is expected to start September 1st, 2004 or earlier.
