Parkland Regional Library invites applications for the position of Director.

Parkland Library, headquartered in Dauphin, serves a population of 40,000 in 35 municipalities in west central Manitoba. With an operating budget of $800,000 and 16 FTEs, service is provided through 19 branches and a bookmobile.

The Director is the chief administrative officer and is responsible for the overall operation of the regional library in all its aspects, including:

  • planning and organization,
  • policy development,
  • program delivery,
  • personnel management,
  • budget preparation and administration.
Qualified candidates will have an MLS from an accredited institution plus several years of administrative experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge and abilities. The candidate will also have organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Experience with, and an understanding of, technology applications in a public library are essential.
