OCLC Online Computer Library Center, Inc. is an innovative, high-tech

DIVISION: OCLC Canada
LOCATION: Western Canada
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for marketing & selling specific OCLC products and
services to individual institution accounts, including strategic academic
and public libraries within Western Canada, and consortia. This includes
presenting and proposing OCLC solutions.
- Responsible for achieving and surpassing objectives established for
each fiscal year.
- Activities include managing relationships with libraries and other
entities to insure effective match of solutions and effective use of OCLC
services.
- Due to the nature of this position, extensive travel is required
(i.e., 60% of time)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires an MLS or MBA with experience in the information industry or
with library automation is a plus.
- At least three to five years of direct field sales experience with
demonstrated understanding of the Canadian library market.
- Strong interpersonal skills are necessary.
- Experience working with a variety of computers, software packages and
the Internet is required.
- Extensive traveling 50 - 80% travel.
- Drive for results, customer focus.
- Excellent public speaking, writing, interpersonal and
relationship-building skills are a must.
