Experience: Experience in the provision of scientific/technical/medical (STM) and/or competitive information services. Experience in searching the Web and online bibliographical systems. Challenge: Provides reference and referral services in science, technology, medicine and business to clients from National Research Council of Canada (NRC), Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP), and Canadian Technology Network (CTN), as well as to clients from government, industry and academia; orients and trains clients onsite or by telephone on the Canada Institute for Scientific and Technical Information's (CISTI's) information resources; participates in collection development; develops and maintains a comprehensive knowledge of commercial online bibliographic systems, CISTI's Virtual Library resources, and reference tools; develops and maintains a general knowledge of NRC Information Services (NIS) products and services, as well as CISTI products and services; assists in the creation and maintenance of HTML Web pages; performs other related duties as required.
