OCLC Canada Library Technical Services invites applications for a
full-time Cataloguer I position. OCLC Inc. is an international membership
organization, headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, which provides information
and bibliographic services to libraries worldwide. Library Technical
Services, located in Winnipeg, provides custom cataloguing and processing
services to a variety of Canadian libraries. For more information, visit

www.oclc.org/oclc/canada/lts.htm Position Duties: Performs copy and original cataloguing, according to library specifications, on library materials and electronic resources. Qualifications: MLS degree from an accredited library school; theoretical knowledge of current cataloguing practices and principles and MARC formats; reading knowledge of French OR A Library Technician Diploma; theoretical knowledge of current cataloguing practices and principles and MARC formats; reading knowledge of French AND Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal relationship skills are essential. Highly desirable: Reading knowledge of other foreign languages in addition to French; subject specialization in any science areas. Knowledge of Windows and standard office applications Excellent keyboarding skills an asset. This full-time entry-level position is available immediately. Competitive salary and benefits.
